Students often ask what they can be working on during each year of high school to prepare themselves for college and future careers. In response to these questions, we have created grade by grade information sheets. These informative guides will help students to stay on track and be mindful of what they can be working on during the year to transition smoothly into the next grade level. Additionally, these information sheets provide a checklist for students to complete on a regular basis. It is our hope that these handouts will be helpful for students during their time at North Surry High School.
In the information about graduating with honors handout, you will find the many requirements students must meet in order to graduate Cum Laude, Magna Cum Laude, or Summa Cum Laude. Additionally this document lists the requirements students must meet to be recognized as an Honor Graduate and/or a North Carolina Academic Scholar.
Lastly is the counseling office information sheet. The counseling office is here to help students and families in many ways. The school counselors provide individual and group counseling. Additionally, they assist students with registration, transcripts, GPA's, scholarships, and work hard to meet many other student needs. This brief handout lists some of the things we help students with on a regular basis.
