Scholarship Information & Financial Aid
Before celebrating college decisions, it is important to consider cost. Many students think about scholarship opportunities and the counseling office is here to help! There are many scholarships available to students based on financial need, academic merit, community involvement, extracurricular activities, intended major or career field, ethnicity, and employer. Scholarship opportunities are not limited to students who plan to attend a four-year college or university, which means that all students should apply if they are considering furthering their education after high school.
To start the scholarship search process, be sure to familiarize yourself with the institutional scholarship opportunities available through the colleges and universities that you are applying to. Local scholarships that are advertised by North Surry High School will be listed here on the counseling website's scholarship list and on the scholarship bulletin board outside of the counseling office. Because scholarships are constantly changing, the opportunities are endless. It is crucial that you do your own scholarship research to be sure that you have applied for as many scholarships as possible.
